Prerequisites
- Node.js >= 18
- TMDB API key (get one from TMDB)
Installation
- Clone the repository:
git clone https://github.com/rakeshgangwar/tmdb-mcp-server.git
cd tmdb-mcp-server
- Install dependencies:
npm install
- Build the server:
npm run build
Configuration
Configure the MCP server in your MCP settings file (typically cline_mcp_settings.json

Replace your-api-key-here
with your TMDB API key and replace /path/to/
with actual path.
Available Tools
search_movies
Search for movies using The Movie Database API.
